Meet the friendly staff at Clearview Animal Hospital!
Dr. Kim Anderson started with us in 2000. Born and raised in Santa Monica, California, she went to college at New Mexico State University on a full ride volleyball scholarship, receiving her Bachelor of Science. She then continued her education at Oregon State University and Washington State University earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She loves working with new puppies on training and behavior. When she’s not helping out pets here, you can find her relaxing by her koi pond with 22 koi whom all have been named, and some are over 20 years old! She can also be found hiking through the woods with her dogs; a Rhodesian Ridgeback, a Treeing Walker/Coonhound and two Papillons. Dr. Anderson also finds time to work in her flower garden and foster kittens for MEOW Cat Rescue. She has fostered 253 kittens over the past 17 years! She also shares her home with three cats and four bunnies.
Sabrina has been with us since 2016, first as an intern and then as a graduate of PIMA Medical Institute's Veterinary Technician program. She has a Golden Retriever with loads of personality, named Manny, and two horses, Roany and Tabasco, that she loves to ride and competes in barrel racing and western gaming. When not horsing around you can find her camping in the beautiful Cle Elum area.
Addy has been working at Clearview Animal Hospital since 2007, first as a kennel aide, then through experience as an assistant. Born in Colorado, but raised in Mukilteo, WA she grew up with a house full of small animals of all sorts. She loves working with high energy dogs, and loves making a difference in each pet's life that comes into the clinic. She currently has a young Belgian Malinois named Aeden, but plans on adopting a CWD when he retires. She enjoys outdoor activities like camping and hiking, as well as DIY projects, including spinning her own yarn.
Beth started at Clearview Animal Hospital in 2016. She was born in Everett and raised in Snohomish. Graduating from high school in 2013, she attained her Veterinary Assisting certificate from Skagit Valley College. Beth is very good with animals as she was raised around a large variety ranging from large farm animals to smaller house pets. Her hobbies are working with animals and helping her brother in his Cat and Tractor 4H clubs. She also enjoys board games, video games, photography, spending time with her family and caring for her 5 cats.
Dr. Alison Thomson, DVM received her BS in Biology at University of Washington in 1983 and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 1990. Alison was born in England and raised in both Connecticut and North Wales, UK. Before going to vet school she worked at Woodland Park Zoo. After graduating veterinary school she practiced in Northern British Columbia then settled back in Washington State. She then joined our team in 2011. She’s passionate about preventative medicine and routine surgery for our fabulous clientele. She loves spending time outdoors hiking, skiing and traveling. Her newest passion these days is dancing. She has two wonderful kids and a three-legged cat.
Allie has been with us since 2005. She attended PIMA Medical Institute for a Veterinary Assisting Degree in 2004. She loves working with all patients but she always has a soft spot for small dogs. She enjoys spending time with her kids, husband and dog. Her favorite thing to do on her spare time is to go camping with her family in the summer.
Jocelyn has been working here at Clearview Animal Hospital since 2012. She was born and raised in Bothell. She started her education at Bothell High School and continued at Everett Community College in the Fire Science Program. Her hobbies are competing with her horses, Dipsy and Red, in barrel racing and western gaming. She also enjoys camping, hiking and cooking in her spare time. She also has three cats and two wonderful dogs; a Bloodhound named Veda and a Doberman named Blaire.
Dorrit became a part of our team in 1997 as a Veterinary Assistant. She became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2013. To keep herself busy, she competes with her four Alaskan Malamutes and a Portuguese Water Dog in Agility, Barn Hunt and Conformation dog shows. When she’s not playing with her dogs, you can find her hiking through our beautiful Pacific NW.
Colleen joined our team in March of this year. She loves animals and helping all creatures she crosses paths with. On her spare time Colleen enjoys hiking, gardening, and cooking. One of her best qualities is the ability to make people smile and laugh.
Megan joined our team in 2018. Her favorite part about working here is being able to help pets achieve a longer life with their owners through knowledge and preventative care. She has naturally gravitated towards animals her whole life, becoming a dog groomer in 2015. She was born in California but grew up in Central Oregon riding horses, hunting and fishing in her spare time. Her favorite thing to do when not at work is hiking and fishing with her family. She has 2 dogs named Kano (Heeler) and Deschutes (Australian Shephard), along with an array of chickens.
Jean received her Veterinary Assistant degree through PIMA Medical Institute in 1999 and earned her Veterinarian Technician License in 2011. Jean joined our staff in 2013. Being raised in Alaska she moved to Washington in 1988. When not at work she enjoys spending time camping with her husband. They share their home with two cats named Toad and Otis, and outside you will find their much loved horses Buck and Lacey.
We are excited to welcome to Dr. Michaelle Purdee to Clearview Animal Hospital. Dr. Purdee started her professional career with a Master’s of Science Degree and has researched many subjects ranging from gene identification to blood borne diseases in penguins. Her career path changed when she graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia as a veterinarian in 2012. After vet school she went on to a rotating medicine and surgical internship in Phoenix, AZ and then surgical internships at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center and VCA Animal Specialty Center of South Carolina. Since completing her internships she has worked in emergency care, small animal medicine and surgery, and exotic animal care. Her passion is surgery, and she is pleased to bring her skills in soft tissue surgery and orthopedic surgery to Clearview Animal Hospital. Her free time is spent hiking, camping, and doing anything outdoors with her family.
Christy is a bit of a traveler. Born in New Jersey, she spent her childhood on various islands in the Pacific, then on to the west coast. She loves to visit new places and meet new people. After many years and vocations she discovered in 2011 that she can channel her love for “critters” and kids into a living. Now, she is happily spending her time teaching and learning from children with autism, and when called upon, at the front desk helping clients here at Clearview Animal Hospital.
Dr. Adam Black grew up in small towns in Oregon and Washington. He received his B.S. in Biology from Oregon State in 1985 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the combined Oregon State/Washington State program in 1989. He worked with dogs, cats, large animals, exotics and did emergencies at several practices in Washington before purchasing Clearview Animal Hospital in 1996. Outside of work he enjoys all outdoor activities, especially fishing. He and his family share their home with a yellow lab named Rye, a German Shorthair Pointer named Tilly, and Chewbacca the cat.
